What have we learned: Three key points from Chelsea’s triumph over Paris Saint Germain

Following a lethargic first-half, Victor Moses’ well-constructed volley ensured that a penalty shoot-out would determine the outcome of the International Champions Cup game. Laurent Blanc opted to introduce his young talent with ten minutes left; therefore PSG exhibited a rather inexperienced list of penalty takers. Paris’ captain Thiago Silva saw his penalty saved from Thibaut Courtois, and the responsibility of winning the game was inherited by the big Belgian. Courtois’ penalty was truly magnificent, as he generated such power that the ball was caught in the net, all be it momentarily.
